What to do when you need a new plot for a book? Make the love ’em and leave ’em guy fall for you only to have him dump you. Now, your heart is broke and there’s the plot. I’d personally imagine it and leave my heart intact. Aspen is an oxymoron to me – she has little self confidence but believes she can get the guy. The guy is Brick (all I could think of was talking to my husband is like talking to a BRICK wall). Aspen and Brick both need results and envy others easy going life. They do fall for each other and there are sexual escapades. Sprinkled among the chapters are Brick’s POV – I’m a big fan of dual POV books! I was surprised at the amount of telling vs showing especially an author writing about an author. Overall, the story is a good one.
About The Author
Jennifer Probst wrote her first book at twelve years old. She bound it in a folder, read it to her classmates, and hasn’t stopped writing since. She holds a masters in English Literature and lives in the beautiful Hudson Valley in upstate New York. Her family keeps her active, stressed, joyous, and sad her house will never be truly clean. Her passions include horse racing, Scrabble, rescue dogs, Italian food, and wine—not necessarily in that order.
