This book was a great continuation of the first book, In the Silence of Decay. I appreciated the strategically placed recaps of the first book to refresh my memory. The chapters are short and I’m always a fan of multiple POVs. The setting is a reservation and shows the problems Native Americans face. Happily, many of the characters are back to carry on. There are new characters and honestly, too many names for me to keep straight. The father-daughter connection is heartwarming and I’m glad Molly was recognized for her contributions. It’s a well-written mystery that I enjoyed.

About The Author

Lisa Boyle is the award-winning author of The Paddy Series. Born and raised in Finksburg, Maryland, Lisa received bachelor’s degrees in journalism and international affairs from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. She has held many jobs over the years, from cheesemonger to educator at the U.S.S. Constitution Museum.

Lisa and her husband Tim live in North Carolina with their daughter and a goofy-looking mutt named Lloyd.
